About Kibale National Park
Kibale National Park encompasses 795 square kilometers of lush moist evergreen rainforest in Western Uganda. Recognized as having the highest density and diversity of primates in all of Africa, Kibale is sanctuary to over 1,500 wild chimpanzees alongside 12 other primate species including red colobus, L'Hoest's monkeys, and olive baboons.
