About Nyungwe National Park
Nyungwe National Park in southwestern Rwanda is one of Africa’s oldest and best-preserved montane cloud rainforests, having survived the last Ice Age. Covering 1,019 square kilometers, Nyungwe is famed for its iconic 70-meter-high Canopy Walkway suspended above the giant mahogany forest, habituated chimpanzee tracking in Cyamudongo, and mega-troops of over 400 Ruwenzori colobus monkeys.
